Our Getaway - Staycation!!

Before the day ends, I just want to share what we did today. 

I woke up at 6plus to prepare bread for hubby and myself and couldn't sleep after that. I guessed I was too excited to sleep cos I will be spending time exclusively with my hubby for the next few days!! 

When hubby came home at 2plus, he surprised me with a card and chocolate. Then we set off to Sentosa for our staycation! 

Hubby had booked a super expensive Villa Pool Resort at Amara Sanctuary. First impression at the lobby was, they are very under staff. Only one counter serving so many people. The queue was long and took quite a long while. The seats at the lobby was limited. When we were finally able to check into our room, we were disappointed that the Villa wasn't very well maintained. The bath tub was very dirty. Definitely not worth the exorbitant amount hubby paid. Not just that, stepping into the outdoor shower area actually exposes us to swarms of mosquitos! Within a few minutes, hubby was badly bitten. So we decided to change a room instead. 

After queuing at the reception again for a while, we managed to downgrade our room to a Larkhill Suite. But there will be no refund given. This room is $200+ cheaper per night. I sincerely pray that the hotel will at least provide a free meal or something. 

Anyway, we were glad that this current room is much much better. We settled down and went for early dinner at Brusselsprout@Sentosa Cove.

Although we didn't get what we expected to have, I am really touched that hubby is so willing to spend to pamper me. He really made an effort to come home early after work, made sure that our room is comfy to stay in, even when that means he will be losing hundreds of dollars. Though it's not our first time eating at Brusselsprout, but the mussels was what I always craved for. 

After dinner, we came back and fell asleep while watching TV. He must be really tired because he had concussed since then. 

I really pray that God will give him a rejuvenating rest this weekends and may he be blessed even when he goes back to work next week.
